Best Tart I had in Sydney, specially their Banoffee Tart, luscious and just perfect sweetness. Coffee and pastries are delicious and beautiful as well. Staff were amazing and friendly. Added to one of my fave cafes. Thank you Breadfern Bakery.

Craving pastries for breakfast, I stopped by Breadfern in the morning and it did not disappoint. Tried the Pistachio & Orange Blossom Tarte, Peanut Butter & Raspberry Jam Snail, chicken mushroom pie, and an iced long black.
Everything was delicious flavours were spot on and the pastries were fresh and perfectly baked. Highly recommend!

A pastry heaven for all pastry lovers! 🥐With so many options to choose from, it’s a must-visit in Redfern. 🤩Not only are their pastries amazing, but their tarts are also next level, surprisingly not too sweet, just perfectly balanced. 🥨We tried the Blueberry 🫐 Vanilla Yogurt and Pistachio Orange 🍊 Blossom, both absolutely delicious. Their seasonal Rhubarb & Raspberry 🍓Puff is another standout, with that raspberry cream filling taking it to the next level. 🤤The perfect spot for a weekend treat or a quick pick-me-up! ✨

This place is an absolute gem! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The banoffee tart was rich and creamy with the perfect balance of banana and caramel, and the almond chocolate croissant was beautifully flaky and packed with flavor.
There are so many mouthwatering options on the menu that I honestly struggled to choose! I also tried the peach mascarpone tart, and it was just as amazing—light, fruity, and perfectly sweet.
If you have a sweet tooth, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I came here as part of my bakery hopping journey and I was blown away. They offer one of the most impressive French bakery selections I’ve seen — everything from sweet to savoury, and all done to perfection. I tried the spinach & ricotta roll (so flaky and well-seasoned), the slow cooked beef pie (rich and hearty), and a beautiful variety of sweets including raspberry mascarpone, coffee ganache tart, fruit brioche, and a soft chocolate raisin pain suisse. Their egg tart was also smooth and silky, and I washed it all down with a refreshing healthy juice. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Get their slow cooked beef pie if you want savoury.
Get the banoffee pie if you want sweet.
Get the blueberry vanilla tart or strawberry matcha flan if you want sweet but not too sweet.

The pastries and breads look so yummy, I was only there for a quick coffee but had to try the passion fruit and mango tart which I thoroughly enjoyed. Service was let down by the coffee taking a bit too long to make. I'll definitely visit again, I want to try the pies in the warmer.

Banoffee tart ($14) — It's apparent why this is so popular because it's very very good ! Tons of delicious caramel and banana flavour present and the texture of everything, including the dulce de leche, cream, and shell is great too :) it is pretty expensive though so 9/10
Slow cooked beef pie ($9) — AHAGRHRGJRGR DUDE THE PASTRY IS SO GOOD. Not soggy at all, has a solid and crisp structure without being dense or dry in the slightest since the inner parts of the pastry have a wonderful soft mouthfeel and butter flavour pervading all throughout. I think the filling is less impressive as some of the beef chunks are dry and could do with some more gravy. I do have high standards for meat pies though. 8.5/10
There seemed to be a ton of variety of things so I may be back in the future to try some more :3
edit: Tried the passionfruit croissant and a quiche ! I don't remember how much they cost but what I DO remember is how delicious the croissant was ! The thin outside layer was sweet and so wonderfully crisp and the passionfruit filling on the inside tasted really yummy and also had a nice creamy texture. damn writing this is making me want to eat one right now this might actually be 9.5/10 !! The quiche on the other hand was kinda mid. The bacon was hard on the top and was lowkey stabbing my mouth a bit lol. 5/10

Breadfern Bakery is a place I’ve visited before, and it never disappoints. Everything here feels genuinely fresh, just the way a good bakery should be. The coffee is consistently good and pairs perfectly with their baked treats.
The staff are incredibly nice and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. You’re always greeted with a smile and friendly service, making it a pleasure to visit every time.
I’m a huge fan of their palmiers—they are absolutely delicious and one of the main reasons I love coming back. Flaky, fresh, and perfectly done, they’re hard to resist.
Overall, Breadfern Bakery is a lovely spot for fresh bakery items, good coffee, and warm service. It’s definitely one of those places I enjoy visiting again and again.
